Fight and Survive

"Survival of the Fittest", the theory of Charles Darwin made me very thoughtful yesterday, when I was watching some video clips about wildlife on National Geographic's website. Here I am talking about a clip, which was showing the life style of white Egrets in Florida wetlands. Both parents of Egrets were equally involved in raising their chicks but there was rivalry between siblings form very first week of the hatching.. The sibling chicks were constantly fighting for food, which two parents were carrying for the chicks in their bill and crop. The powerful siblings secure more food and become even more powerful to fight. Initially there were 4 chicks on hatching time but remained only 2 until they were able to fly. The two chicks were strokes and thrown from the nest by their siblings during the course of time. All three relatively powerful siblings kick-out and threw the first weak sibling when they were growing and needed more food, so they were able to get more food for themselves. Within another few days or week, they grew further and again feeling shortage of food so the two bigger ones threw another weak sibling. Both these incidents were happen in absence of their parents, who were then out for seeking food.
It sounds mean to human but the theory Charles Darwin had established after long research, is not bad at all in this rough nature. You have to be winner to survive.
