The country was seen unrest and ruled by corrupted leader after independency and remained poor always. The political unrest was in apex when military break-apart and all the army personals left camps with their guns in January 2004. Thousand people died and property of million dollars was ruined in civil war from already poor nation. Apparently, United Nation has sent peace-keeping force in July 2004 under Brazil's leadership with more than 7000 troops from many nations including Nepal. These forces has successfully got control over the country and took-back almost all firearms and weapons form the public possession.
The country was just trying to restore its governmental mechanism and institutions rebuild infrastructure after the election in 2006. The country was hit by several hurricane with in few years and finally devastating 7.3 Richter scale Earthquake hit in 12 Jan 2010 leveling more than 50 percent buildings including presidential palace and parliament houses. It has been predicting more 3 million people affected with 50,000 to 200,000 deaths.
After the unimaginable disaster, the world come forward to help Haiti and Haitian. Several thousand relief workers and volunteers landed with millions of dollars from around the world. From this events I am remembering a line from Hindu holly book Gita that "Whatever even happen there will a nice cause to be" because this is a golden chance to rebuild Haiti. The Haitian people can make the country prosperous because the world is eager to pour millions, if not billions, dollars for saving wounded the people and the country. I would like to wish good luck to the Haitian people and also like to thank and say cheers up to the people who are helping to the Haitians for good cause.
