Friends, this is a story of a village in hill of Nepal. The village called Baruwa, had no more than 15 families with mixed caste. The village was experiencing peace despite there was unrest around the hill. Some groups of people were fighting with government in the name of self-governing, economic power, and caste based state. Recently, the national government had declared to swipe the revolution out with power so it deployed huge number of security forces main para military accompanying armed police force.
It was a calm and beautiful evening the government's force were arrived to Baruwa while they were marching to further remote areas. Since it was already evening they decided to camped near the village in a hilltop. While they were camping, some of the officers asked villagers if they saw the decedents. Villagers had knew most of the rebels because most of them were come from neighboring villages but they were scared to inform. Baruwars told the police forces that they had seen some group marching the village but non of them were recognized faces and put doubted they must had come from another part of the country. Police tried to pull out information from villagers using different techniques even slapping some young guys during interrogation but unable to get any. However, the evening was passed and next day the force headed to further towards remote hill.
Unfortunate villagers, the incident didn't stop here, next evening a group of armed rebels came to Baruwa and gathered most of the adults in a place and started interrogation about why the governmental forces lived in the village, who called them, and what the villagers told to the forces about the rebels? The Baruwars told all the fact but they were not believed and beaten in mass and four young were abducted.
Two days later, again the governmental forces were arrived to the villages with full of head. The villagers were accused of supporting rebels and sending their youth to the group. Many Baruwas were beaten again including elders and women. Some young men were taken in custody women were raped by officers in their.
Villagers had found gun wounded body of the arrested men in forest and hanged women. The raped women committed suicide together.
In this way the peaceful villages was dismantle with in a week but fate did not stop here they were targeted continiously from both side. Most of the family lost their loved one and many of them were the feeder of the family. The families were now forced to donate food and shelter for both side since their was no one to work on farm.
It was difficulty to survive and bear the pressure so the families were started to flee the village because they had no places to complain. The government agency considered them as a sympathizers of rebels and rebels accused them as informer. With in a six month whole village become empty most of the young individuals were either abducted or arrested or killed and survived elders and children were migrated to the plain or slums of bigger cities mainly Kathmandu, Narayangarh, and Butwal.
