"We can not choose our external circumstances, but we can always choose how we respond to them"
Couple of days ago, I found this quote in a web forum. Actually, those words are said by Epictetus, an ancient Greek philosopher. The sentence did not much inspired me at the time I read very first. However, later when Durga informed me that she was rejected again with her US visa to join me. That made me really sad and, frankly speaking, I could not sleep that whole night, thinking how could we live together. I was not willing to return Nepal and she was denied to come USA. But the next day, I came across to the sentence again. This time I really felt relieved and enlightened.
The people of American Embassy has right to deny US visa to my wife but nobody can stop me to go Nepal. And Nepal is not that bad where I can not live. A lot people are living there with decent life style. I can live there, too with good life and even I can contribute to my society with my knowledge and experience.
Since then, my way of thinking has changed because I can make different to myself and my circumstances. There is no such thing in life, I have to worry about. As long as I am alive and retain high esteem, nothing can let me down. Whether I do live in USA, Nepal, or any other places, I have to live with my dream and energy. So I have decided, I will do my best whatever I do and wherever I live. If I can not bring my wife (Durga) in USA for another 6 months, I will return to Nepal and start a brand new life with my dream.
